Description of Duties: We are looking for 1 additional member to fill a vacancy. We have a small committee of 3 and there is not any requirement for a certain MAAO region.

What does the Education Steering Committee do?

We are the committee that oversees everything education for MAAO. This is anything from seminars at the conferences to weeklong courses. We also serve the board with various projects like the development of the instructor policies or developing new education. Many times, we are just the ones putting people together and not involved with any teaching or development, but we have in the past done some. We make sure the timelines are established and adhered to.

A good candidate would be someone with a desire to give back to MAAO and cares about the education being provided. Some service on one of the committees would be a plus, but not required for the right person.
