Description: Minnesota Assessment Administration covers:  the role of the assessor in the property tax system; assessment office reporting practices; sales and the sales ratio study; the appeal and assessment review process; communication and public relations; and technology in the assessment process.  This is an approved assessment administration course for the Accredited Minnesota Assessor level of licensure.  This course is also approved by the Minnesota State Board of Assessors for 30 hours of continuing education.  Note:  This class will be a 4-day format with the exam on Thursday afternoon.  Class size is limited to 45 students.

COVID-19 Considerations: MAAO has made accommodations to ensure proper social distancing at this course and adhere to the Governor’s orders of not exceeding 25% meeting room capacity, by moving to a larger venue with a larger meeting room, allowing each attendee their own 8' table with 6' of space in front and behind. Other adjustments, such as catering considerations, sanitizing stations, and the strongly recommended use of face masks except when seated during course instruction will provide as safe of a learning environment as possible. We have talked in detail with the event venue and feel confident that every reasonable precaution is being taken for attendees' health and safety.
