Description: This course is geared towards assessment professionals who'd like to better leverage Microsoft Excel in their daily work. Unlike generic Excel training courses, this course will utilize existing CAMA reports from various vendors as well as MN DOR sales lists to introduce basic and more advanced functionality all assessment personnel can leverage. 

CreditsThis course is approved by the Minnesota State Board of Assessors for 4 hours of continuing education.  This course is also approved for PACE credit.

Prerequisite: None

Requirements: 

  • A reliable Internet connection 

  • Computer with webcam, microphone, and Zoom, available for download at www.zoom.us   

  • It is recommended to access the course using a computer or laptop; if you must access the course via a mobile device, a large-screen device such as an iPad is strongly recommended. 

Textbook: Course materials will be provided digitally prior to and during the course via the email address provided during registration. 

Student Expectations:  

  • This course includes 4 hours of live online instruction during which students will be expected to participate in discussions, group activities, and coursework that may include but is not limited to reading, homework, problem solving, etc. both during and outside classroom hours.  

  • Students must attend all 4 hours to receive credit for the course; attendance will be taken multiple times randomly without notice throughout the course. 

  • Students must have their cameras on and participate in small and large group discussions to receive credit for the course.  

  • If alternative participation is required, please contact [email protected] via email as soon as possible to discuss, and we will attempt to make reasonable accommodations.

Cancellation PolicyCancellation requests received prior to 8:00am five business days prior to the start of the course will be issued a refund, less a $30 administration fee. Cancellation requests received after this time or registrants who fail to attend the course are responsible for the entire fee.  If a registrant is unable to attend the event, a substitute from the jurisdiction that paid the registration fee can attend at no additional charge. Please send written notification of this change or cancellation requests to [email protected]. Although it is not the policy of MAAO to cancel a course or seminar, MAAO reserves the right to do so and provide a full refund if the minimum enrollment level is not reached. Refunds will be issued within 30 days of the date of the course or conference.
