ONLINE MN Income Property Case Study Workshop

Workshop Summary:  This workshop is intended for assessors planning to take the Minnesota Income Property Case Study Exam, which is one of the requirements to achieve the SAMA level of licensure. The materials provided will be a review of the three approaches to value with emphasis on the income approach. Registrants should review previous course materials and be prepared to work on case study problems involving income-producing properties. The workshop is intended to review concepts and methods of valuation so preparation for the workshop is the registrant’s responsibility. By attending the workshop, candidates will be prepared for the case study exam.

Dates:  Workshop: Wednesday, October 7, 2020, 8:30 am - 12:30 pm & Thursday, October 8, 2020, 8:30 am - 12:30 pm
            Case Study Exam: To be arranged individually by each attendee with an MAAO proctor.

IMPORTANT EXAM INFORMATION: It is the responsibility of each registrant to individually arrange a time and place with an MAAO Proctor to take the Residential Case Study Exam. This will not be done on your behalf. There is an MAAO Proctor in each MAAO Region. You must reach out to your preferred proctor directly, after registering and paying for the workshop and exam. Credits:  8 Hours of Continuing Education are approved for assessor licensing

Prerequisite:  You do not have to be an Accredited Minnesota Assessor (AMA) to attend the workshop, but you should have completed all AMA requirements prior to taking the case study exam.

Workshop Course Materials:  If you would like to have the workshop materials prior to the course offering, you can download them from the MAAO website (for Members) under "Form Report & Case Study Resources."  You will also receive a copy via email prior to the online workshop.

Fee: Workshop Only - MAAO Member - $100.00; Non-Member $205.00.  

        Workshop & Exam - MAAO Member $200.00; Non-Member $305.00.  

IMPORTANT Student Expectations: It is expected that the registrant for this online workshop is the one who attends the offering. This online workshop requires use of a computer connected to reliable internet. Registered attendees whose internet connection prohibits them from participating in the entire webinar risk losing CEH’s for the seminar. Attendance will be monitored throughout the workshop and if attendees are found to be absent, they may not receive full CEH’s for the seminar.

Cancellation Policy:  Cancellation requests received prior to 8:00 a.m., 5 business days prior to the start of the course will be issued a refund, less a $30 administration fee.  Cancellations requests received after this time or registrants who fail to attend the course are responsible for the entire fee.  If a registrant is unable to attend the event, a substitute from the jurisdiction that paid the registration fee can attend at no additional charge.  Please send written notification of this change or cancellation requests to [email protected].  Although it is not the policy of MAAO to cancel a course or seminar, MAAO reserves the right to do so and provide a full refund if the minimum enrollment level is not reached.  Refunds will be issued within 30 days of the date of the course or conference.
